Showa Group
Environment
The new challenge facing Showa is protection of the environment. Initially, this involves increasingly stringent quality control checks, before, during and after production.
With its "Zero Defect" target, Showa's policy is to select raw materials of excellent quality while ensuring that they will not impact negatively on the environment or users' hands.
Showa was also the trailblazer as regards processing of used gloves in Japan, and in 2007 its Himeji factory obtained ISO14001 certification for compliance with environmental standards. Equally concerned with the safety of the raw materials it uses, Showa selects and processes them in compliance with the most stringent Japanese, European and American standards in this field.
In our Malaysia factory, we hold the view that "we live in a wonderful world", and "we must therefore constantly strive to maintain this awareness in order to preserve it."
