Protect yourself better against chemical risks
Depending on the type of chemicals handled, normal permeation can occur. Even if the glove has no porosity or defect, oil or chemicals can pass through the glove, so risking hand contact with a potentially harmful substance. To limit any chemical risk, please follow these recommendations.
- Wash your hands thoroughly and dry them before putting gloves on.
- If using for an extended period, alternate several pairs of gloves during the working day because all soaked gloves become permeable to the oils and chemicals handled, which can cause them to deteriorate more quickly and harm the hand. For the same reasons, check regularly to ensure that your gloves have not become permeable so that you can change them in time.
- Turn the sleeve of the glove back to prevent products running onto the arms.
- Clean your gloves before taking them off, following the usage instructions for the gloves.
- To remove the second glove, do not touch the outside surface with your bare hand. Instead pull the glove off by grasping the inside of the sleeve edge.
- Before re-using the glove, check that it is dry both inside and outside and that it hasn't been damaged in any way (softening or hardening, presence of cuts or cracks).
